In the Bahamas, you can spend a little while with a sea lion.

I went and met Murray at the sea lion encounter at Blue Lagoon. (They also have dolphin and stingray encounters available).

You can get in the water (they provide wet suits) and interact with a sea lion who shows off his/her skills and then gives you a hug and a kiss.  As long as you don’t mind the smell of fish it’s fun 🙂

They accept kids as young as 8 and as small as 4 feet (last time I checked, confirm directly with them).
