In addition to my random things pouch which has proved incredibly useful over the years, I also have a slightly larger “health and safety” pouch. Note: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
This includes:
-
-
- nail clipper, cuticle clipper, nail file, tweezers
- toothpicks, flossers
- q-tips
- small LED flashlight
- 2 or 3 instant towels, these work ok and they are tiny and cheap: Cotton Disposable Compressed Towels (100pcs)
- 1 emergency blanket: Emergency Thermal Blankets (Pack of 10)
- band-aids; blister treatment, moleskin, or second skin
- motion sickness pills & ginger drops from the Ginger People (The Ginger People Gin Gins Chewy Ginger Candy
)
- electrolyte/vitamin drink mixes
- diarrhea and upset stomach meds; possibly Cipro if appropriate
- bug repellent
- non-liquid sunscreen
- tissues, wet wipes
- Aleve, Advil, etc
- antihistamine, cold medicine, cough drops, etc
-
- If I use something up, or think of something new I want to add, I just put a post-it note on the inside of the bag (from my random things pouch) with a note facing out saying what needs replacement.
I don’t bring these, but know that others can find these helpful: earplugs, aloe, thermometer
I would keep these in this bag, but because of TSA rules, these liquids/pastes/gels go in with my toiletries:
- topical antibiotic (Bacitracin or similar)
- hand sanitizer
- hydrocortisone or similar
- bug bite/sting treatment
- a small container of deep conditioner (may be needed if swimming, air boating, etc).
Happy, healthy travels!
Great post 🙂
