The Museum of Broken Relationships

I missed this attraction when I was in Zagreb, but if I go back, I’ll check it out.

The concept is fascinating. Sometimes when a relationship ends, there are sentimental things left behind.  But this museum is not for the engagement ring or things like that.  Instead, it is for the mundane items that were the last gift before a relationship ended.  As could be expected, there are many fancy bras, stuffed animals, and letters, but there is also a prosthetic leg, a toaster and an ax among other unusual items.

We all have felt lonely after a relationship has fizzled, and this gives people the ability to see that they are not alone.

I just heard that there is another MBR in LA, so I may have to go to that one on a trip in the future as it’s likely I’ll end up in LA on a layover to Asia.
