Walkli is a website that has walking tours set up for many cities across the globe.  I ran across it while searching for walking tours in Cartagena Colombia.  While I perused the site, I found walking tours for many cities in the US, as well as dozens of other countries, including Croatia, Cuba, Australia, and Singapore.  They also have the tours categorized by theme, such as food, history, architecture, and beaches.
Once you find a tour you like, you can have the directions sent to your email address so you can access it.

The amount of info about the sites tends to be minimal – generally a sentence or two – but it gives you a quick way to familiarize yourself with the area and see the main sites.
