The Toledo Railway Station in Toledo is a beautiful brick building that is a great introduction to the beauty of the city of Toledo.
This station opened in 1920. Previously the train had arrived at a basic train station, and this version was a major upgrade intended to match the grandeur of the city (trains had been coming here since 1858, just less arriving at a less gloriously appointed locale).
With tiled floors and beautiful wooden ticket stands, it is a step back in time
The train station also has a clock tower outside.
There are frequent trains to and from Madrid at this station, so it’s a good way to get to and from the area.
